Ramos Doc Ock Marvel Sleect figure WITH Spider-Man

The Spider-Man looks better than the first one Marvel Select released a few years back.

While I'm not a Ramos fan by any means, I do like his Doc Ock re-design... it's one of the better costumes he's had. Much better than the green & yellow or Ultimate numbers he's worn.

Marvel should just come out and say that they were trying to "McFarlane-ize" their figures with the Select line, though they haven't been quite as successful at it as ol' Todd.

I'd love to see a Marvel line sculpted by McFarlane's crew and distributed directly by Marvel/Diamond.

That Doc is great, and not even as a Doc Ock alone, but just as some creepy bad guy.

And holy shit, Mouth of Sauron's been on my wish list. Shame to have to pay so much to get him, but the horse is great and I don't have a King Aragorn or Bleached Gandalf. There goes more $$.

It's the same situation as the Haldir figure: buy the set of repacks or do without.

Same thing is going to happen with the Coronation set that is slated later in the year.

It has 2 exclusive figured, but then the Eomer and Aragorn are repacks of ones I already have. The one that will save some coin on is the Arewen. She is going to be released as an individual, but since she is in the pack, I can skip her for the wife's collection.

Like I said before, I'm hesistant about paying so much for Mouth of Sauron given all the extra figs. But considering how badly I want the guy, screw it I'll buy it. I guess it's Toybiz's way of helping to sell a few extra figures, even though most of us own them already. As was mentioned.

Too bad the price puts a damper on buying a Mouth of Sauron double.

Doc Ock's definately starting me, though a few have tempted me in the past, this one i know Im getting [img]biggrin.gif[/img]


Being one of the few Ramos fans, Im gonna try and make the SPidey more like his, maybe a transplant with the SMC Ramos Spidey, if it fits well enough...
